Has anyone else noticed the exagerated personalities of their rats? I think I've got my girls figured out.

Wendy - Wendy is my alpha. She just recently took the position from my oldest girl Banana. Wendy also tends to fill the role of the welcome wagon. She is always the first to say hello to new commers. She just recently discovered that if she talks, Mom will "talk" back and she finds great joy in that. At the same time, she is my trouble maker. She will climb everywhere, squeeze into anywhere, and has proven herself quite the dare devil.

Banana - Banana is very quiet. She likes her alone time from the other girls and would rather sleep on my arm then play. However, you can tell all the girls deeply love her. She's almost like the grandma of the group. Banana also has such a love for yogies that she is known to accidently bite fingers in blind excitement.

Valentine - If Banana is grandma then Valentine is easily mom. She is extreamly calm, quiet, and loving. When I brought home Wendy, Dolly, and Fable for the first time they quickly gravitated to her and followed her around like puppy dogs.

Dolly - Dolly is just kinda the "there" rat. She isn't crazy, mean, shy, etc. Maybe she is going through a sort of teenage "discovery" stage. She is still learning to be more social with people.

Fable - In the 3 days Ive had Fable it seems like she is quite, but easy for the other rate to get along with. I can tell that she, like Wendy, will be very playful and social.

What about your rats?

Giovannie: She is a smart little rat and VERY adventurous. Whenever I open the cage door, the first thing she does is make a b-line straight to the floor. She LOVES exploring the floor. She also likes to jump. Something is about 4 feet away she's like 'Yea! lets go!' and jumps right towards it. Sometimes she doesn't make it. LOL. She's very sweet and gives the occasional kiss and doesn't run around like a crazy rat. She just likes to explore and is the dare-devil of the crew.


Charles: Is my sweetest rat. She loves to lay in your arms and give you a ton of kisses. Her face is sooooooo pitiful and she'll look at you like "But mommy, I want you to pet and hold me. Do so, please?" fghgdhdf IT'S SO CUTE. She's soooo gentle. Every move she makes is gentle, sweet and calm. Almost as if she's trying to be as delicate as possible. <3


Colette: This girl is my trouble maker and the Alpha of the cage. She randomly gets all huffy puffy at the other girls and wants to rip up the liners and the zip ties holding the cage together. She's crazy to boot. She runs madly through the cage and then attacks the cage liners like the looked at her funny and then jumps on Gigi, then stops, looks at you to make sure your watching, then continues on. She's insane and very "talkative". You pick her up and she wants to keep playing "SQUEEEEEEKKKKK". You take food away from her "SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKK". You look at her funny "EEEEEEEPPPPPPP" She's crazy. To put it simply.


Locket: Locky is very sweet. She's a little skittish but has been getting better. At night she'll lay in my arm and brunx and boggle madly. She takes her allergy medicine so well. She just licks it off the syringe. She's very well behaved and evens out all the other quarks my other rodents have. I got her and her sister from some people who had way to many rats. They came unsocialized and afraid of everything. I'm happy to say that Locket has grown into a lovely little girl.


Charity: This girl. She is afraid of EVERYTHING. She HATES being touched, loud noises, and anything that moves too fast for her liking. She's also a nipper, although it's never brought blood. It's more of her figuring out what you are exactly. She's the sister to Locket and although Locket blossomed into a lovely rat, Charity did not. It took me months to get her to take treats from me. She still hates being touched in anyway, but she does like to explore me and run around on me. She's gets along well with my other rats, so if she's happy without me touching her and her living her life, then by all means, she's welcomed to. Although, I wish that she would come out of her shell more and let me pet her without squeeking and running away.


Clover: I got Clover from a friend who wasn't taking care of her and her sister. Poor things had mites and were starved when I got them. She's a very friendly rat although nervous when I put her in an open space. She loves to lay in my arms and me pet her until she falls asleep. She has the making to become an excellent rat and I'm happy to of saved her.


Candy: Clovers sister. She's more edgy and adventurous. She won't lay in my arms and she seems to always be on guard and nervous, but I know that she'll come out of it. The friend never took her out and she was near little kids who didn't know how to take care of them, but she's slowly coming around. Once she gets older I'm sure she'll be a very nice rat.

[Renegade]

Motley- Definitely seems to be dominant over his brother Marley. He dive bombs Marley if he gets a treat before he does, he steals food from him and he beats him up if he wants something. If you stick your fingers through the bars of the cage or directly infront of his face, he bites. Other than that, he's really very sweet. He's a little fatter than Marley because he steals some of his food.

Marley- Compared to Motley, Marley is sweet but fairly shy. Because of Motley's attitude towards him he's gotten a little skittish, but he still likes to be held and pet.

Juliet*- Very sweet, loves to be pet.

Unnamed*- Same as her sister Juliet.


*Juliet is Mindy's baby girl.
*The little unnamed girl is co-owned by both Mindy and I. She isn't named yet obviously xD
